About me

Welcome! I am a researcher and educator working at the intersection of sustainability, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation. My work explores how entrepreneurs navigate ecological and social challenges, and how digital tools can help entrepreneurs to scale sustainable business models. I am particularly interested in the role of ecosystems, social value orientation, and generative AI in shaping innovative ventures.

At ICN Business School, I am currently Head of the Digital and Ecological Transformations module that brings together over 800 students to explore sustainability challenges through AI-supported hackathons across Paris, Nancy, and Berlin. In our Berlin campus, I started the Master-in-Management specialization “Innovation and Sustainability”.

I earned my PhD in Management from the University of Stuttgart, following studies in Nonprofit Management and Public Governance (M.A., School of Economics and Law Berlin, HTW Berlin) as well as Art History and Economics (B.A., Friedrich Schiller University Jena). My academic work focuses on sustainability-oriented entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ecosystems, and design science approaches. Recent projects include developing conceptual models for overcoming spin in entrepreneurial ecosystems, the preservation of social value orientation in entrepreneurial ecosystems in Europe, digital technologies and value logics in business models for sustainability and investigating the feedback loops between generative AI and social entrepreneurship competences.

My teaching experience spans undergraduate and graduate programs, with courses in strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation, twin transformation as well as sustainability, design thinking, and international business simulations. In research and education, I am also developing tools and workshops to translate research into actionable solutions, track carbon footprints and help entrepreneurs evaluate funding strategies.
